We continued our sermon series titled Our New Identity in Christ last Sunday with a great message. This series is really coming along great!
This weeks message was titled The New You! and talked about the life transformation that believing in Jesus brings into our lives. No one really likes change, but it's an essential part of life. Did you know that it's an essential part of our faith, too? God loves you. And He loves you too much to leave you where you are. He is going to work on your heart and transform you into the image of His Son, Jesus. The image of holiness. The Holy Spirit will bring the gifts of the Spirit (see Galatians 5:25) - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Sometimes these changes take place immediately upon our coming to faith, sometimes the happen over a lifetime as we surrender more and more our ourselves to God's control. But they will come.
To find out more, read the message, The New You!
