It’s too bad it’s been 2,000 years since Christ.
The Bible says that God is not slow in keeping His promises, but that He is patient in not wanting any to perish.
Unfortunately, we’ve taken it the wrong way. Too many people today think that because He hasn’t returned in 2,000 years, He isn’t going to. Paul must have got it wrong. Or we think that if it’s been this long, we must still have a long time. “Don’t worry, we’ve got plenty of time.”
But what if we don’t? What if what Paul wrote about happened today? What if the death bed confession many are hoping to be able to make, isn’t possible, because He comes back before then? Will you be ready? Will your family be ready? Your relations? Your work associates? Your neighbors? Those you know from the golf course, or the lodge, or whatever else you might be involved in? Will they be ready? What if Christ brought them into your life so you could share the Good News with them? Will they ready?
He will come back. Perhaps today… Will you be ready?
